Policy Statement

The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE or Board) delegates to the Chancellor of the Colorado Community College System (CCCS or System) personnel authority to manage the selection and employment of the President, statutorily referred to as the “Chief Administrative Officer”, for each institution within the System. The College Presidents shall report to the Chancellor.

Scope

This Policy applies to the selection and appointment as well as the conditions of employment of College Presidents within the System. The selection and conditions include, but are not limited to, the hiring process, contract terms, job description, evaluation process, employment benefits, and compensation.

Procedure

The Chancellor shall promulgate such procedures as may be needed to implement this policy.
