POSITION LOCATION: Fort Morgan, COEMPLOYMENT SPECIFICS: Full-Time (Professional/Technical, 260 days), 1.0FTEPURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: This position is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming reception for students, staff, and other campus visitors who come to the MCC Student Services Welcome Center. The position will serve as a backup for incoming phone calls to the main MCC phone number. Additionally, this position provides support for the financial aid and enrollment process including the coordination of financial aid verification paperwork, financial aid appeals and applications, admission applications, residency determination, preliminary course selection/advising, and registration of students. This position manages the imaging of financial aid records for student services. This position will supervise several work study students who work in the Student Services Welcome Center. Other functions include making presentations, interpreting policy and procedure to support the recruitment, retention and awarding of federal, state, institutional and private financial aid to qualified students.For information about MCC, see the college web site: www.morgancc.eduREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. An associate’s degree and equivalent experience may substitute. Experience with an integrated information system.Experience with a document imaging system.Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Microsoft Office, and other industry related software.Ability to resolve complex problems and handle student issues. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to work long and irregular hours necessitated by semester schedules, special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week, and committee service.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
