Dr. Sarah Heath

Biography

As Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Heath provides strategic leadership related to academic affairs, student affairs, and institutional research at CCCS. Sarah works closely with college leaders to improve, scale, and evaluate practices that promote academic success and excellence and oversees systemwide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Sarah previously served as CCCS’ Associate Vice Chancellor for Career and Technical Education and the State Director for Career and Technical Education. In those roles, she led oversight of all secondary and postsecondary CTE programs in the state, which train more than 208,000 students every year in fields as diverse as healthcare, construction, and aviation. CCCS is the only community college system in the country that administers federal funding for CTE.

Sarah has dedicated her career to advancing opportunities in higher education, first as a high school business and computer science teacher, and then as a state program director and local system administrator. She served as the national president of the Association for Career and Technical Education and in 2023 was named an Equity Champion by the Colorado Association for Career & Technical Administrators, a branch of the Colorado Association for Career and Technical Education.

A proud “Triple Dawg,” Sarah holds a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree from the University of Georgia.
