Job Description

The Student Recreation Center at RRCC is seeking a Climbing Wall Assistant for the fall semester! The SRC houses a 28-foot indoor climbing wall for bouldering, top roping, and lead climbing. The climbing wall provides staff for supervised climbing by request. Bouldering is available anytime the facility is open. Climbing wall staff are responsible exemplifying excellent customer service to all patrons, assisting and belaying any climbers, participate in events and instructions for patrons and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the wall and equipment.

This position reports to the Adventure & Sport Programs Coordinator The work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM  at the Lakewood campus location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule.

This is a student employee position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while class is in session and up to 28 hours each week during academic breaks or breaks between terms while an RRCC student, depending on class schedule, need, and budget availability. Student employees are enrolled and contribute to a TIAA-CREF account when enrolled in less than six credits.
