POSITION SUMMARY 

The Department Chair for Health Sciences will provide oversight to the Health Science programs. The Chair will lead, supervise, and collaborate with faculty and adjunct instructors in the department as well as across departments to support the college vision, mission, and strategic plan. The Chair will utilize excellent communication, organization, and detailed orientated skills to effectively manage the programmatic requirements and timelines. 
The Chair shares a commitment to and exemplifies principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in all work done within the department and as part of the college community. The Chair, as faculty member, teaches courses in their field of expertise and maintains a commitment to high-quality instruction and high-quality support. In addition to teaching, the Chair will be responsible for managing student clinical rotations and ensuring strong community partnerships. 

OVERVIEW OF CCA  
The Community College of Aurora (CCA) is a dynamic institution that is committed to serving its diverse student population through innovations in instruction and student support founded on principles of equity and inclusion.
