GENERAL SUMMARY

The EXCEL Student Learning Support department exists to provide efficacious, timely, and intentional individual and group study spaces where CCD students can be supported in learning and collaboration. The EXCEL Zone provides robust 1:1, group, and embedded tutoring support in Math, Science, Writing, ELL, and Digital Literacy through in-person and remote tutoring. The Math Tutoring Coordinator is part of a supervisory team that reports to the Director of Student Learning Support within the EXCEL! Zone departmental umbrella. Coordinators are critical to the success of EXCEL! Zone mission by leveraging management and people development skills to ensure consistency within department services, tutoring excellence, strong student engagement, excellent faculty collaboration with their assigned subject area(s), and innovative program development.  The ideal candidate will possess a unique skillset of management and academic experience with career interests in student affairs.
