FRCC is seeking motivated and dedicated students to serve as Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders to support student success. SI Leaders facilitate student learning and help students better understand concepts or applications of course content through collaborative learning techniques and modeling course-specific study strategies. Each SI Leader is assigned a course they have already been successful in that historically poses a challenge to students. The SI Leader attends each class session and, provides regularly scheduled small group sessions covering the course content using active learning principles. The SI Leaders maintains ongoing contact with course instructors and the Academic Success Center.
SELECTION PROCESS
Preliminary screening will be made based on completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes:
