Scholarships offered by the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges are listed below. Your college may have additional scholarships available. Contact your college’s foundation or financial aid office for more information.

Scholarship eligibility may depend on factors such as the college you attend, your degree program, or your credit load. If your circumstances change, you might lose your scholarship. We cannot provide scholarships to ASCENT students or for concurrent enrollment courses.

The Alper Family Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide educational opportunities for first-generation college students in Colorado’s rural communities.

Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies and any other costs of attendance.

Established by Audrey D. and Harvey D. Rothenberg in 2016, one annual scholarship is awarded to students either attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System institution.

Students who receive an Audrey D. and Harvey D. Rothenberg Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities.

Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

Founded in 1936, today Bellco is one of Colorado’s largest financial institutions, with more than $7 billion in assets and 28 branches in Colorado serving more than 350,000 members.

Bellco has a strong commitment to serving its members and communities, with financial education being one of their charitable pillars.

Students who receive Bellco Credit Union Scholarships are encouraged to complete a set number of online basic financial literacy courses, with additional scholarship funding available as an incentive.

Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies, transportation expenses, or any other cost of attendance.

The Center Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund was designed to perpetuate the values important to Dr. Amy Kahn, her family, and her mother Charlene Center Kahn Berman.

The Center Family Foundation has made this scholarship possible. The family has a long-held commitment to investing in community colleges and students and Charlene’s children, Amy, David, and Adam Kahn requested that this scholarship be formed in their mother’s memory. Although open to all, the special focus may be given to students interested in the field of education. Scholarships awarded from this fund may be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need.

Students who receive a Center Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

CHFA is a mission-driven enterprise working to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. CHFA Building the Future Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing postsecondary credentials in high-wage, high-skill, in-demand career pathways. Eligible pathways include: Health; Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Professional and Technical Services; Education; Business Operations; and Construction and Skilled Trades.

Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need.

Students who receive a CHFA Building the Future Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities, including maintaining a GPA of at least 2.0. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The COL John and Mildred Garcia Scholarship was established in 2023 to increase access to educational opportunities and deliver skilled workers in high-demand occupations to the Colorado workforce. These scholarships are awarded to students who are pursuing postsecondary credentials in in-demand career pathways including: Health; Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Professional and Technical Services; Education; Business Operations; Construction and Skilled Trades. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, or any other cost of attendance.

Each year, the Colorado Garden Foundation provides grants to local horticulture and food-focused non-profit organizations using the proceeds from ticket sales to the annual Colorado Garden & Home Show and the Colorado Fall Home Show. In the past 64 years, Colorado Garden Foundation has provided organizations throughout Colorado with grants totaling more than $12 million.

Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarships are awarded to full-time students pursuing a two-year Associates degree in select fields related to agriculture and horticulture. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies, transportation expenses or any other cost of attendance.

Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarships are awarded as two-year scholarships. Scholars are not required to reapply for the second year of funding, however, the scholarship may be revoked if the student fails to write an annual thank you letter to the Colorado Garden Foundation; the student’s cumulative grade point average falls below 2.50; the student changes to a course of study outside of approved fields; the student is no longer enrolled at a CCCS institution; or the student participates in conduct unbecoming of a scholarship recipient.

Colorado Garden Foundation Workforces Scholarships are awarded to students completing postsecondary credentials in high-demand career pathways. Eligible pathways include: Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Construction and Skilled Trades; Professional and Technical Services; and Business Operations. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, or any other cost of attendance.

Founded in 1934, Credit Union of Colorado is one of the largest credit unions in the state and is deeply connected to the communities where its members live and work. The credit union’s “here to help” culture is demonstrated by its strong support of local communities through financial donations, sponsorships, and employee volunteerism. Credit Union of Colorado is a stable, member-owned financial institution with more than $2 billion in assets serving more than 145,000 members. The Credit Union of Colorado Foundation supports education and emergency human services programs through college scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations.

For over 20 years, the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges, has offered scholarships to five students who are members of the Credit Union of Colorado and are pursuing their education at one of the 13 CCCS colleges. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies, transportation expenses, or any other cost of attendance.

Students who receive a Credit Union of Colorado Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities, including maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges is the designated recipient of the Desert Storm Memorial Scholarship Fund of The Denver Foundation. The Desert Storm Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to military veterans who are attending any schools within the Colorado Community College System.

Students who receive a Desert Storm Memorial Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Disabled American Veterans Department of Colorado Scholarship is awarded to students attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System college. Scholarships awarded from this fund may be used to pay tuition, fees, books, required supplies, and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need that is directly related to college expenses.

Students who receive a Disabled American Veterans Department of Colorado Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities, including maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

Dr. Nancy J. McCallin Scholarships are awarded based on merit with GPA and the difficulty of a student’s program of study given due consideration. Scholarships awarded from this fund may be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need. The Nancy J. McCallin Endowed Scholarship Fund honors, recognizes, and celebrates Dr. McCallin’s fourteen years of service to the Colorado Community College System. As the longest tenured System President, Dr. McCallin oversaw a period of dramatic growth while ensuring financial stability, increased student success, and unparalleled service to Colorado communities.

Students who receive a Dr. Nancy J. McCallin Endowed Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges will annually award Eagle Feather Endowed Scholarships to students who are an enrolled member of any of the federal or state recognized tribes and either attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System college. Scholarships awarded from this fund may be used to pay for any cost of attendance including tuition, fees, books, required supplies, transportation, housing, childcare, or any other cost of attendance.

Ongoing support to the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges provides a limited number of scholarships for students who are either attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System institution. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies and any other costs of attendance.

To support Colorado’s evolving workforce needs and prepare students to find dignified, family-sustaining work, the Foundation annually awards scholarships to students seeking credentials in a workforce or CTE pathway. Foundation Workforce Scholarships are awarded to students completing postsecondary credentials in high-demand career pathways.

Funding for these scholarships is made possible through support from the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative and other generous donors. Eligible pathways include: Health; Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Professional and Technical Services; Education; Business Operations; and Construction and Skilled Trades. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, or any other cost of attendance.

As part of HCA Healthcare, HealthONE proudly serves the metro Denver area as the largest healthcare system with more than 11,000 employees. The HealthONE scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing a career in the allied health fields.

Students who receive a HealthONE Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Joseph M. LaGrotta Endowed Scholarship was established in 2023 in honor of Joe LaGrotta, a beloved uncle, brother, son, and friend. LaGrotta attended The Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and then got a Masters Degree at Colorado State University. In life, he was a passionate woodworker and chef. This scholarship was established in his memory so that his life passions can be passed onto others. Scholarships awarded from this fund may be used to pay for any cost of attendance including tuition, fees, books, required supplies, transportation, housing, childcare and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need.

The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges and Kaiser Permanente have partnered to offer Kaiser Permanente Colorado Health Scholarships. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need.

Students who receive a Kaiser Permanente Health Scholarship may be eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a credential in the skilled trades such as welding, advanced manufacturing, precision machining and/or industrial maintenance. Merritt Aluminum Products and Merritt Trailers are industry leading companies that the Merritt family has owned and operated for 70 years.

Students who receive a Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

Unlock your potential with the Reisher Bridge Scholarship Program — a new partnership between The Denver Foundation, the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges and the Colorado Community College System.

This program is designed to provide a seamless and structured pathway to empower Colorado students to earn both their associate and bachelor’s degree with minimal debt.

To qualify for the Reisher Bridge Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

Intend to transfer to one of the nine 4-year institutions that are a part of the Reisher Scholars Program upon completion of associate degree.
Be enrolled in an Associate of Art or Associate of Science degree.
Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
Be a Colorado resident. 
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Must have demonstrated financial need.
Have 30 credits or fewer remaining in your associate degree pathway.
Have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. 
Intend to complete an associate degree by the end of Spring 2026 term.

Scholarship consideration for the 2025-26 cohort will continue up to May 1^st, 2025. Award notifications will be sent by May 15^th, 2025.

The Stratosphere Scholarship is awarded to students who are enrolled in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math related pathway at a CCCS college. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies and any other costs to fully meet a student’s unmet financial need.

Students who receive a Stratosphere Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

The Thomas T. Grimshaw Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2009 in honor of Mr. Grimshaw’s longtime advocacy on behalf of the Colorado Community College System and his distinguished service on both the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education and the Foundation for Colorado Community College Board of Directors. This fund provides need-based scholarships that can be used for tuition, fees, books and required supplies.

Students who receive a Thomas T. Grimshaw Endowed Scholarship are eligible to apply for renewed scholarship funding, provided they fulfill all scholarship responsibilities. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed, and depend on funding, your status with your respective program, and your renewal application.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Step 1: Confirm Enrollment

Make sure you are currently registered as a student at one of the 13 Colorado Community College System colleges. You will need an active student ID number (S#) and an @student.cccs.edu email address to access the application.

If you are not yet enrolled as a student, begin by completing an online application for your intended college.
Once admitted, follow the instructions provided by your college to begin registering for the coming academic year.
Once you have your @student.cccs.edu email address, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Access the Application

Go to the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges application portal.
Click the “Students” tab.
Log in using your student ID number.

Step 3: Complete the Application

Select the “Start Application” link.
Review all pre-filled fields to make sure they are correct.
Answer all blank questions.
Write responses to the required short essay questions and any optional supplemental questions.
Submit your application.
