Going to college
shouldn’t break the bank

We promise every Coloradan an affordable college education
one that will not saddle our citizens with mountains of debt.

Tuition and fees at the Community Colleges of Colorado average less than half of those at most public four-year universities. Combine that with access to outstanding professors, your choice of real-world programs, and career-ready learning — and it adds up to an incredible educational value!

Fund Your Education

A variety of methods are available to help finance your education. Check out the options below and contact the financial aid office at the college of your choice:

College Opportunity Fund

Funding is available for state residents pursuing an undergraduate education through the College Opportunity Fund (COF). Applying for COF support is easy, and you only have to do it once. Apply at cof.college-assist.org. You can also apply for federal and state financial aid at studentaid.gov/.

Grants

Grants do not have to be repaid and are available at the federal, state, and college levels. Talk to a financial aid adviser or look up Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant, and Federal TEACH Grant.

Work Study

This program provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. There are two types of work study: on-campus (work for the school) and off-campus (private nonprofit organization or a public agency). Talk to a financial aid adviser at the college to find out more.

Student Loans

This is money borrowed that must be repaid. Types of loans include: Federal Stafford loans, Federal Parent PLUS loan, Federal Perkins loan, loans from private financial institutions.
