On Monday, October 28th in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Colorado Community College System Office, along with the Community College of Denver, Pikes Peak State College, and Pueblo Community College were honored by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 4 for marketing and PR projects completed in fiscal year 2019. Competition for this award is regional and includes two-year and technical colleges from Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming.
At the regional conference, Fiona Lytle, CCCS Chief Communications Officer, spoke as the Opening Session speaker, where she discussed communication strategies geared towards legislative affairs and how CCCS collaborates with its member colleges to message, market and campaign to state elected officials. Karen Kovaly, Communications Coordinator at Pikes Peak State College, presented during a breakout session on the topic of training faculty and staff to be media-read. Matt Radcliff, Digital Strategist at Pikes Peak State College, also presented during his own breakout session about how to wizard a website redesign.
