Are you passionate about student success? Join Arapahoe Community College as a full-time Academic Advisor. In this role, you’ll provide one-on-one and group advising, guiding students—especially undecided and guest learners—toward academic and career pathways. You’ll play a key role in fostering student success, retention, and graduation by helping them make meaningful life decisions and achieve their highest educational goals. Advocate for student achievement, support their aspirations, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment that aligns with the college’s mission.

Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deliver advising services with a proactive, student-centered approach that aligns with students’ academic, career, and personal goals. 

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the institution, remaining aware of resources, policies, and programs available to support students’ holistic development. 

    Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to implement retention and graduation initiatives that align with a holistic advising approach.

  • Guide students as they transition into and out of ACC, integrating holistic support that addresses academic preparation, career exploration, and personal growth.
  • Teach assigned sections of AAA 101: The College Experience, no more than three sections of AAA annually.
  • Actively participate in relevant committees to contribute to a student-centered advising experience that supports all students, including those in distance learning.
