The Coffee Shops at Red Rocks Community College are looking for friendly Baristas! Initial positions available on the Lakewood campus. As the coffee shops reopen, positions may become available at Arvada campus. This position includes handling cash, washing dishes, filling coffee and tea orders, mixing specialty drink orders, cleaning and stocking the store, and attending to store needs as they arise in order to maintain the highest quality of functionality. Most importantly, this position involves working with customers and promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Work Study
- Work Study is a Federal and State-funded program permitting students to earn a salary by working part time on campus. Click here for more on work study.
- Work up to 20 hours/week on campus.
- Hourly rates start at the minimum wage and can be increased by level and tier.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the semester in which they are working.

Student Hourly
- Student Hourly employment allows students to work part time on campus, with wages paid by the hiring department.
- Student Hourly is not connected to your Financial Aid status.
- Work up to 20 hours/week on campus.
Work Environment and Typical Work Schedule (Dates and Times): Shift hours during the semester are Monday – Friday 7:00am – 11:00am & 11:00am – 3:00pm.
Depending on staffing abilities and students’ needs, shifts may extend beyond those hours and days and may change from semester to semester. We try to work with a student’s schedule in order to provide the most seamless work/school integration but cannot guarantee every desired shift or a full 20 hours.
