Employment Specifics: Full-Time Faculty (167 days), 1.0 FTE Position #: 300230 Position Location: Fort Morgan, CO PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: The Business Faculty member will be a dynamic and engaging member of the MCC teaching faculty that engages current and prospective students in the broad field of business. The faculty will promote the program and build enrollment by inspiring students in the region to study one of the many tracks available in business and to prepare for the workforce or transfer to a university for advanced studies. Most importantly, the faculty will inspire students to pursue their dreams in business. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching, advising, recruitment and outreach to the communities served by MCC. Instructional content assignment will focus on Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurialism, Management, Marketing, Customer Service and other related business fields. The faculty member is responsible for using teaching methods and media designed to reach students of varying educational and experiential backgrounds to allow each student the opportunity to master the objectives of the course. The new faculty member will be creative and committed to teaching excellence with a passion for continuous improvement and assessment of student learning. The faculty member will promote the program and help to build enrollment with the help of marketing and recruitment personnel, and engage faculty, students, and clubs from regional high school business programs. A variety of instructional delivery modalities (synchronous, online, remote) will be utilized via WebEx/Zoom and a Learning Management System. The faculty member will also work with part-time instructors throughout the College’s service area to provide mentoring activities and help with the implementation of assessment strategies. The faculty member may be asked to teach one course in the summer semester for additional remuneration. Teaching assignments may be scheduled at various times including evening and weekend offerings. The faculty member shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college’s commitment to the Guiding Principles.For information about MCC, see the college web site: www.morgancc.edu REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Business or related field from a regionally accredited institution.Computer expertise in relevant business software programs.Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education postsecondary teaching credential in Business. Must have 2000 hours of verifiable work experience in the business field. Minimum of one (1) year of full-time or two (2) years of part-time teaching experience in business or a related field.Experience with innovation including online delivery, and an understanding of the current business environment as it relates to curriculum development.Strong technological skills and experience in using the MSOffice suite. Must be willing and able to travel as required by position needs. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as necessitated by course schedules. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Doctorate in Business Administration or similar field.Full-time teaching experience in higher education.Experience with distance education.Direct personal experience as an entrepreneur owning, managing, or developing businesses.Demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Anticipated Start Date: August 2024Salary and Benefits: $55,100-$68,900 based on education, skills, and experience.
