Job Description

The Children’s Center Classroom Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming environment by greeting parents, children, and guests. Key duties include engaging children in creative activities, serving meals, supervising rest and outdoor time, and assisting with the overall operations of the classroom. This position is vital in supporting the daily operations of the Center and ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all children.
 This position reports to Susan Padgett, Director of the Children’s Center. The Early Childhood Learning Center follows the general schedule of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m..  Shift hours are flexible within that time frame.
This is a student employee position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while class is in session and up to 28 hours each week during academic breaks or breaks between terms while an RRCC student, depending on class schedule, need, and budget availability. Student employees are enrolled and contribute to a TIAA-CREF account when enrolled in less than six credits.
