The mission of the RRCC Communication department is to provide students with greater competence in human communication interactions and to create awareness about the importance of adapting these skills to diverse audiences. We strive to provide students with an education that instills critical thinking, written and oral communication skills, and encourages global awareness.
Part-time Instructors provide instructional duties for the College in their respective areas of expertise. They report to the department chair within the discipline and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include instruction, student assessment, and other related instructional duties. Instructional delivery may include face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Classes may be held days, evenings, and weekends.
The instructor must be patient and respectful, while also providing their expectations for what is considered acceptable work. The instructor must display dedication to the class as well as the goals of the program.
This position reports to the department chair within the discipline and does not supervise other employees. Occasional meetings or trainings may also be scheduled outside of regular work hours. The finalist must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace, including for online classes.This position is open and continuous. Candidates selected will be contacted.
