Position Summary
Lamar Community College (LCC) is seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our LCC team. The Director of Strategic Initiatives at LCC is responsible for providing visionary leadership and oversight for strategic initiatives that support the College’s mission and growth, particularly as they relate to the recently awarded Title V Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Grant project Aspira. Reporting directly to the President, the Director will work closely with senior leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure comprehensive and effective implementation of the Title V grant, manage the grant budget, track performance metrics, and ensure timely completion of project objectives as described in the grant narrative. This position is critical to advancing LCC’s commitment to improving educational opportunities and success for students, fostering post-secondary participation, retention, and completion in an engaging and supportive campus environment. As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.
