Job Description

The award-winning Visual, Audio, and Media Arts (VAMA) Department at Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) is seeking a part-time Instructor to teach Graphic Design courses during the upcoming Spring 2025 semester. The part-time Instructor will provide instructional duties in the area of graphic design, including classroom instruction, student assessment, and other related instructional tasks. Instructional delivery may include face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Instructors could teach from 1-4 courses (3 credits) per semester.  Most courses are full-term (15 weeks) and meet once or twice per week.The Instructor will be expected to demonstrate patience, respect, and clear communication of expectations for student work, while also displaying dedication to both the course content and the overall goals of the program.

This position reports to the Department Chair. The work schedule for this position is varies and classes may be held days, evenings, and weekends, at the Lakewood location. This position may require hours outside of the normal work schedule.

This position may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.
