Biography

Dr. Catlyn Keenan has worked at Front Range Community College since 2001. She started teaching philosophy and religious studies classes and received her full-time faculty appointment in 2006. She serves as lead faculty for Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. She has also been a department chair, Faculty Senate president, and the recipient of awards in teaching excellence. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Teaching Excellence Center.

Catlyn holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hendrix College with a double major in Religious Studies and Humanities and a minor in Creative Writing; a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from CU, Boulder; and a Ph.D. in Religious and Theological Studies from the University of Denver and the Iliff School of Theology. She has traveled in almost twenty countries and is passionately dedicated to the mission of community colleges. In 2015, she traveled to Morocco as part of a Fulbright GPA and publishes fiction and nonfiction under the name Catlyn Ladd.
