A Direct Path to a career in engineering
Associate of Engineering Science
The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) has partnered with Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, and University of Colorado to offer the Associate in Engineering Science (AES) degree. This AES degree serves as a direct track for engineering students from a community college to a university, streamlining the transfer process.
CCCS students who complete the AES degree will have access to:
- A streamlined transfer process to a participating four-year university after acceptance.
- Cost savings from completing your first two years of a four-year degree at a community college.
- Scholarship opportunities to make your degree path even more affordable.
For students new to a CCCS college:
Indicate that you want to start your AES degree on a participating CCCS college application.
For existing CCCS students:
You can switch to the AES program by contacting your community college advisor.
There are no requirements for students to start their AES degree at a Colorado community college! Any college algebra ready student may start the program.
