The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges is able to offer several scholarship opportunities each year for students attending or planning to attend any of the 13 Colorado Community College System colleges.

Alper Family Scholarship
The Alper Family Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide educational opportunities for first-generation college students in Colorado’s rural communities.

Audrey D. and Harvey D. Rothenberg Scholarship
Established by Audrey D. and Harvey D. Rothenberg in 2016, one annual scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional student who is either attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System institution.

Bellco Credit Union Scholarship
Founded in 1936, today Bellco is one of Colorado’s largest financial institutions, with more than $7 billion in assets and 28 branches in Colorado serving more than 350,000 members. Bellco has a strong commitment to serving its members and communities, with financial education being one of their charitable pillars. Students who receive Bellco Credit Union Scholarships are encouraged to complete a set number of online basic financial literacy courses, with additional scholarship funding available as an incentive.

Canvas Credit Union Scholarship
Canvas Credit Union, serving over 294,000 members and over 700 family members, is committed to its members and communities, with an emphasis on financial education. Students who receive Canvas Credit Union Scholarships are encouraged to complete a set number of online financial literacy courses, with additional scholarship funding available as an incentive.

The Center Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship
The Center Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund was designed to perpetuate the values important to Dr. Amy Kahn, her family, and her mother Charlene Center Kahn Berman. The purpose of the fund is to award scholarships to students who have demonstrated advocacy for, or commitment to, diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or students with a psychological or physical disability.

CHFA Building the Future Scholarship
CHFA is a mission-driven enterprise working to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. CHFA Building the Future Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing postsecondary credentials in high-wage, high-skill, in-demand career pathways. Eligible pathways include: Health; Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Professional and Technical Services; Education; Business Operations; and Construction and Skilled Trades.

COL John and Mildred Garcia Scholarship Award
The COL John and Mildred Garcia Scholarship was established in 2023 to increase access to educational opportunities and deliver skilled workers in high-demand occupations to the Colorado workforce. These scholarships are awarded to students who are pursuing postsecondary credentials in in-demand career pathways including: Health; Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Professional and Technical Services; Education; Business Operations; Construction and Skilled Trades.

Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarship
Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a two-year degree in either Soil & Crop Science or Agricultural Education.

Colorado Garden Foundation Workforces Scholarships are awarded to students completing postsecondary credentials in in-demand career pathways. Eligible pathways include: Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Engineering; Construction and Skilled Trades; Professional and Technical Services; and Business Operations. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, or any other cost of attendance.

Credit Union of Colorado Scholarship
Each year the Credit Union of Colorado, in partnership with the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges, offers scholarships to five students who are members of the Credit Union of Colorado and are pursuing their education at one of the 13 CCCS colleges.

The Desert Storm Memorial Scholarship
The Desert Storm Memorial Scholarship Fund was originally established to provide scholarships for qualified children of Colorado residents who were killed or totally and permanently disabled in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. Upon the exhaustion of designated eligible beneficiaries, The Denver Foundation converted this fund to provide scholarships to military veterans who are attending any of schools within the Colorado Community College System

Disabled American Veterans Department of Colorado Scholarship
Disabled American Veterans Department of Colorado is dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. This scholarship is awarded to Veterans or family members of veterans, with a strong preference for disabled veterans.

Dr. Nancy J. McCallin Endowed Scholarship
The Nancy J. McCallin Endowed Scholarship Fund honors, recognizes, and celebrates Dr. McCallin’s fourteen years of service to the Colorado Community College System. As the longest tenured System President, Dr. McCallin oversaw a period of dramatic growth while ensuring financial stability, increased student success, and unparalleled service to Colorado communities.

Dr. Russell Meyer Scholarship
The Dr. Russell Meyer Scholarship was established to honor Meyer’s legacy as an educator and advocate for students. Russ worked for 40+ years in higher education as a teacher, professor, and administrator. After retirement, Russ served as a board member and chair of the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education, finding a stronger passion in life by supporting community colleges and the greater financial needs of its students.

Ongoing support to the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges provides a limited number of scholarships for students who are either attending or planning to attend a Colorado Community College System institution. Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship
The Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a credential in the skilled trades such as welding, advanced manufacturing, precision machining and/or industrial maintenance. Merritt Aluminum Products and Merritt Trailers are industry leading companies that the Merritt family has owned and operated for 70 years.

PepsiCo Foundation Uplift Scholars
The Colorado Community College System is proud to be a part of the PepsiCo Foundation Uplift Scholarship program that aims to close the wealth gap by providing access to higher education to 4,000 Black and Hispanic students nationally within the next five years. A recent gift from the PepsiCo Foundation is providing 180 scholarships over two years to Black and Hispanic students attending Community College of Aurora, Community College of Denver, and Front Range Community College. These scholarships are empowering students to acquire jobs in high growth and promising fields, including information technology, advanced manufacturing, logistics, sales, and marketing. Stone Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2012 by Robert and Irene Stone, The Stone Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship fund is a wonderful and growing resource for Colorado Community College System students. For many students, the cost of a college education and availability of scholarship support are often the deciding factors in pursuing a college education. In creating this scholarship, the Stone Family Foundation sought to support students for whom a scholarship would act as a lifeline, making their academic dreams a reality.
