POLICY STATEMENT

The Board acknowledges the importance of naming opportunities as a means of recognizing significant contributions in support of the Colorado Community College System (CCCS or System) mission and values. In granting naming recognition, CCCS intends to promote consistency, fairness and good value in exchange for the honor and privilege of naming.

The Board reserves to itself the authority to approve the naming of campuses and buildings for individuals or organizations. The Board delegates to the Chancellor the authority to establish procedures for the naming of all other facilities and programs.

The Board retains the authority to require removal or modification of the naming of any CCCS facility or program at any time.

SCOPE

This policy applies to facilities within the Colorado Community College System.

PROCEDURES

The Chancellor shall promulgate procedures as needed to implement this policy.
