POLICY STATEMENT

The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE or Board) values shared governance as a joint responsibility between the Board, Chancellor, College Presidents, faculty, instructors, System and College staff, and students. Shared governance is a fundamental framework for decision-making that fosters collaboration and inclusivity among various internal stakeholders and recognizes the expertise of each internal stakeholder group within the Colorado Community College System.

SCOPE

This Policy applies to the Colorado Community College System, including its Colleges (CCCS or System).

PROCEDURE

The Chancellor shall promulgate such procedures as may be needed to implement this policy.
