POLICY STATEMENT

It is the purpose of this policy to establish a procedure for paying compensation over and above regular base salary and employee benefits, whether in the form or bonuses, cash awards, cash incentives, incentives to retire, or other forms of compensation.

SCOPE

This policy applies to the System office and all community colleges and to all employees of the Colorado Community College System.

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF COMPENSATION OTHER THAN BASE SALARY AND BENEFITS

Before any employee of the Colorado Community College System may be paid compensation other than his or her base salary (which for this purpose may include overloads for additional work) and System-wide approved employee benefits, the plan to award such additional compensation must be specifically reviewed and approved by the System President.

The System President shall promulgate such procedures as may be needed to implement this policy.
