APPLICATION
This procedure applies to the College Advisory Councils at the Colleges within the Colorado Community College System (CCCS or System).
BASIS
The Chancellor shall promulgate procedures necessary for implementation of BP 2-25.
PROCEDURE
Pursuant to BP 2-25, the College President, in consultation with the Chancellor and the advisory council, will establish criteria for advisory council membership as are appropriate to the institutional needs. Statutorily, the advisory council must have seven (7) members from the area in which the Community College is located and serves.
Where the College President, in consultation with the Chancellor and the advisory council, determines that, in addition to the seven (7) members appointed from the College’s local community, it is appropriate to the institutional needs of the College to receive additional input from business or industry interests that may be served by the College, the College President may recommend up to two (2) additional advisory council members, without regard to whether the person recommended resides in the College’s local community.
REVISING THIS PROCEDURE
CCCS reserves the right to change any provision or requirement of this procedure at any time and the change shall become effective immediately.
