POLICY STATEMENT
Colorado law allows the community colleges to provide and charge fees for goods and services in order to offer a valuable teaching, educational, or research experience, or to fulfill the public service mission of the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). This authorization is extremely limited to recognize the potential competition the colleges’ goods and services may have with private business.
The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE or Board) shall delegate to the Chancellor the authority to implement a procedure for the hearing of grievances by privately owned businesses, to include an appeal process to the SBCCOE.
SCOPE
This policy applies to the Colorado Community College System, including its Colleges (CCCS or System).
PROCEDURES
The Chancellor shall promulgate such procedures as may be needed to implement this policy.
