Transforming Colorado’s workforce through customized training, the Skill Advance Colorado program offers State funding for grants to strengthen business competitiveness, foster talent, and improve employment opportunities.

Training Grants Support

  • Net new hire and incumbent worker reskilling and upskilling
  • Short term worksite training aligned with organization needs
  • Wide ranging essential and technical skills development
  • Employee retention efforts

Grant Options

  • Colorado First Job Training Program funds customized training for net new hires of new and expanding Colorado businesses
  • Existing Industry Job Training Program funds customized incumbent worker training of established Colorado businesses

Businesses interested in applying for funding work directly with a local college representative, who assists with eligibility determination, training needs assessment, and grant application development.

Grantees receive ongoing assistance with training implementation and grant management.
